We are seeking an experienced Workday Recruiting Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to help our HRIS team support a high-volume Recruiting portfolio. This consultant will work alongside HRIS Recruiting leads and Talent Acquisition stakeholders to stabilize day-to-day delivery, drive solution design, and execute configuration and testing in Workday Recruiting.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role. We need an individual who can navigate ambiguity, lead working sessions, propose options, and drive work to completion.
This role is focused on post-go-live stabilization and enhancement work, ongoing configuration, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, not a net-new implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering with Talent Acquisition, including running working sessions, clarifying scope, capturing decisions, and documenting outcomes.
- Own work items end-to-end, driving progress through design, configuration, testing, and readiness for deployment, with clear next steps and follow-through.
- Translate requests into practical Workday Recruiting solutions (process + configuration).
- Configure and troubleshoot Workday Recruiting, including:
- Job requisitions and templates
- Candidate stages, dispositions, and routing
- Offer processes and related business processes
- Questionnaires, notifications/alerts, and text blocks
- Condition rules, validations, and calculated fields (as applicable)
- Support UAT planning and execution, including test scripts, defect triage, and stakeholder signoff.
- Own a set of Recruiting work items end-to-end, including intake clarification, requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, and readiness for deployment.
- Provide clear weekly status updates: progress, decisions needed, risks, and dependencies.
Required qualifications
- 5+ years supporting and configuring Workday Recruiting as a BSA/analyst
- Demonstrated ability to lead stakeholders, facilitate working sessions, and drive execution.
- Strong functional knowledge of Workday Recruiting business processes and configuration.
- Strong testing discipline (UAT planning, scripts, validation, defect management).
- Clear, professional communication skills, comfortable working directly with clients.
Preferred
- Experience with Phenom (especially candidate workflows, Recruiting integration touchpoints).
- Experience partnering with integration teams and supporting recruiting-related integrations and data flows.
- Experience working in a structured change environment (documentation, governance, migration controls).
Working style
We are not looking for a consultant who only takes fully formed requirements. We need someone who can drive requirement gathering, bring structure to ambiguous requests, and actively push work to completion with stakeholders.
